Step By Step Guide

Believe it or not the very first thing you need to really
succeed is your own website many will tell you that you
can simply send traffic to affiliate links and earn a fortune,
is this possible ? Well a fortune NO but yes you can make
money this way but there are a few problems that when I
explain you will see the light.
You are advertising for someone else you get a percentage
of the sale the problems are you have no control over the
sale process, the support, or even if they change the link
on you ,if done your wasting money on traffic and you don't
even know it
Next problem is you are not creating a list of people you
can contact about other products or services that they may
be very interested in ,more about this later.
The worst problem is most affiliate sites will basically
steal your sale by offering your traffic a better deal in a
pop-up window say 10% off. End result you lost the sale the
owner keeps 100% of the sale. Not all Publishers do this
but a very good percentage do as well as have a super sale
that simply kills your sales and you just have wasted your
time and money on traffic with nothing to show.
This is why a good 95% of people fail in trying to make
money Online.
So we have cleared that up I am sure you realize why you
need your own website if even only to redirect your traffic
to multiple publishers sites as an affiliate.
Ok, Time to come up with a domain name for your website
(name if you like), as you see mine is mansalife.com
Some people like to use their name.com which can be an
excellent idea as well as it gives a personal touch. Most
people like to have a catchy name and you will be able to
see if it is available when registering your domain as the
sites I mention all have domain registration as part of the
hosting .... You have to love it :-)
Two excellent web hosting sites that get you rolling for
next to nothing both I highly recommend are similar in
what they offer, one may suit you better then the other ,

Feel free to use another hosting site as there are many out
there just be careful.

Building the site

Your hosting site most likely provides a web building
tool if not
There are many programs out there to help you build
your web pages as there are people who use them ,
each has their own preference so really not fair for me
to suggest one. Your best bet here is to do a search
and find one that suits your needs and your
experience level. I have provided a search bar at the
top to help you.

Page Design

This is entirely up to you but a few tips are to try to
make it stand out from every day pages, give it some
character to call your own, Experiment with the
layout back-round and text colors until you find
something you like keeping in mind is it easy to read
does it look to cluttered is it overall appealing.
A site of just banner links is something to shy away
from as you should have real content to your pages.
Links might work for a short while but it would be
nice to have people come back for the information you
provide such as lets say "dog grooming"

Keywords & Meta Tags

This can be tricky for someone not familiar with
building sites but it is of great importance. Although
hard to describe exactly what is most effective I will
do my best to get you on the right track. I have some
great programs and Great E-Books available in a
specially priced package which includes invaluable

First off you need to Title your pages as this is what
will be the heading in search engines, displayed on
the top of your page as well as on the tab in the task
bar "Dog Grooming 101" for example.

Secondly you must describe your sites content with
the Description. This is pretty basic as you type in
what your site is about and limited to 256 characters
including spaces. For example:
Dog grooming tips tricks and advice on how to care
for mans best friend and how to keep them looking
and smelling like they just walked out of the Salon.
Which is 152 characters so you have more room to
expand on it but try to keep it simple and straight to
the point.

Keywords will give the search engines the information
needed to supply people your page in search results
when they do a search again I will use "dog grooming"
as an example. Really it is all about what you think
people will type into a search to find information you
are supplying so going with the example keywords you
could use are: safe way to bath a dog, best way to
bath a dog, tips to bathing a dog, bathing large dogs,
sprayed by a skunk, removing burdocks, brushing, nail
clipping, when to use a muzzle etc. (175 characters)
Keep in mind that you should limit this to 256
characters that includes spaces and commas and
should be done in the format above a comma and a
space between each keyword or set of keywords.

You will hear over and over again the money is in the
"LIST" and actually it is true, not all of it but yes a
list of contacts of people who visit your page is very
important.
There are several ways to accomplish this such as
having a newsletter, giving away e-books or software
that relates to your site which people can access by
signing up to your site for free. For example on my
main page you will notice the sign-up forum and yes I
do have a very nice
E-book as well as bonuses I send to people when they
sign-up.
When I come across a great opportunity or have a
special newsletter only promotion going on I will
email the lucky people on "my" list.
(remember what I said about not having your own site )
This is where you make the next decision Auto
responders or manually email. Personally I am testing
the manual email but I am soon about to switch to
auto responder. Why ? Simply for the instant reply and
availability to my gifts and bonuses rather then people
having to wait for me to respond.
I have done a lot of investigation on auto responders
two definetley stand out from the crowd and to no
surprise are the most widely used of any, after testing
the others I know why they simply are the best there
is a slight difference in setup and price but both
virtually the same the first one is obviously my first
choice but only due to overall feel and support you
may like the 2nd better this is why I have added them
both.

Reason #2 for having an Auto Responder is that you can set
up campaigns that automatically email your contacts with
your promotions, updates, sales etc. On a scheduled basis

Traffic

This is extremely important for many reasons I will try to
keep as brief as possible even though it does require a
huge amount of attention.
If people don't see your site they simply don't know about
your site or your products or the publishers you are
advertising for.
Search engines are the first thing to set up as getting your
website indexed will take time. There are many sites that
offer to submit your site but the very best policy is to
manually do it yourself and use them as a back up even
though the backup they provide is priceless most will do for
free and it is all about getting noticed.
First and most importantly submit your site to
Google, Yahoo and Msn Live Search
Next step is to get the services of these sites to submit
your site to search engines some have a free service with
the option to upgrade. Depending on your budget I would
suggest upgrading it for maximum effect but only if you feel
comfortable with the site and the offer. I am a tad bit
skeptical when it comes to website submission as when
you get enough traffic and are noticed the engines will pick
you up automatically for the most part it comes down to
time and lets be honest if you are from Canada and never
heard of xxxxx.com search engine in Germany do you really
see the need to get your site indexed there? Is your site
translatable to German? How much traffic would you
expect from any given country based on your content?
These are all things to consider before purchasing a huge
submittal to many unknown search engines, You might very
well tap into a market that others are not as well so a
personal choice based on budget and relevance of your site

I highly recommend buying targeted or un-targeted traffic
for your site for the simple reason it gets you noticed by
search engines as well you might grab some sales as a
bonus but before we go any further I almost insist you sign
up for several things that you WILL need not only will they
make life a lot easier on you.
1) You need a Paypal account no ands ifs or buts about it. If
you ever want to make a sale from your site you need a
safe free to join easy way to receive payments.

2) You need a Clickbank account for several reasons, As an
affiliate it is a very simple way to advertise and get paid.
Also the best way to get affiliates to promote you. Even if
you won't use it today you Will need it

3) I highly recommend getting at least 2 Gmail email
accounts.
They don't block important emails , have a massive amount
of storage space and completely free. Sign-up now
I Also recommend using 1 for signing up to Paypal and
clickbank the other for sites requiring you to sign up to a
mailing list. Trust me it will make life a lot easier for you.
